We are looking for a qualified controls engineer (or perhaps a pair of controls engineers that work well together) to join our team and working family. Riverside currently has a strong team and we are looking to expand our controls engineering department to increase our throughput and help us grow.
A Riverside Controls Engineer will:
- Work with our mechanical engineers and project managers to understand customer requirements.
- Create electrical and fluid power hardware design using AutoCAD Electrical software
- Create Hardware BOM’s with AutoCAD Electrical or Microsoft Excel
- Meet with customers on a regular basis to discuss and track project timing and expectations.
- Meet with vendors to discuss product applications and new technologies.
- Be willing to travel for product training and machine startups – 4 weeks or less per year.
- Perform PLC/Safety PLC programming: Primarily Allen Bradley Control Logix / Compact Logix and Siemens Classic S7 / TIA Portal.
- Have the ability to write clean and efficient programming code.
- Adhere to customer supplied machine specifications.
- Program HMI’s: AB, Siemens
- Perform motion control /servo programming: AB, Siemens
- Understand machine platforms & motion sequencing
- Program robots: ABB, Fanuc
- Integrate vision systems: Cognex, Keyence
- Provide the Controls description write-ups for Customer Proposals
- Provide Material & Labor Cost Estimates for the Controls portions of assigned System Proposals
- Develop Applications of Proposed Products or Solutions
